Privacy Policy

Glimpse is a private wallpaper and video-sharing app. This policy explains how the Android app handles your information.

The short version

Glimpse does not have accounts, a backend, analytics, advertising, or a network connection. It does not collect, sell, or transmit your photos or other personal information to us. The photos you select remain on your device unless you explicitly choose to share or save an exported video.

Photos and collections

Glimpse uses Android's system photo picker or document picker. It can access only the photos you specifically choose. It creates private app copies so that your original gallery photos are never edited, moved, or deleted by Glimpse.

Collection names, copied photos, wallpaper preferences, and photo order are stored locally in Glimpse's private app storage. They are not uploaded to a server.

Wallpaper and video export

Glimpse uses your selected private copies to show your live wallpaper. When you preview a collection, the preview stays in the app.

An MP4 is created only when you explicitly choose to share, open it in another editor, or save it to your gallery. If you share a video, Android sends that video and any caption you provide to the destination app you select. That destination app's privacy policy applies to its handling of the content.

Share-ready videos are kept temporarily in Glimpse's app-specific storage for up to 24 hours and are automatically cleaned up. A video you explicitly save to your gallery remains there until you delete it.

Data we do not collect

Glimpse does not collect or share personal information, photos, contacts, location, identifiers, diagnostics, usage analytics, payment information, or health information. It does not show ads and does not use advertising SDKs.

Security and retention

Glimpse keeps its collection data in Android's app sandbox and disables device backup for this data. You can delete a collection in the app at any time; this permanently removes only Glimpse's private copies and settings for that collection. It does not affect the original gallery photos. Uninstalling the app removes its private app data, subject to Android's normal behaviour.

Children

Glimpse is designed for parents, guardians, and other adults who manage their own photo collections. It is not directed to children and does not collect personal information from users.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if Glimpse changes how it handles data. The latest version will always be posted on this page, with an updated effective date.
